Qualities

  • Cells / Channel Quality
With the newest generation of laser engraving technology, the ideal cells / channels are created:
    1. Well-defined cells & tri-helical channels.

    Advanecd cells
    Traditional

    Advanecd
    Traditional channel
    2. Thin wall, wide opening, flat bottom with extra cell volume.

    Traditional Cell Profile Advanecd
    3. Very smooth finished surface.

    Even & Smooth surface

    Uneven surface

  • Ceramic layer quality
Very dense ceramic layer with the least porosity is sprayed and bonded onto the steel roller surface to create hardest possible surface. This process ensures rollers to be anti-corrosive and to have an extending operating life.
  • Mechanical Accuracy
We manufacture every roller to meet customer's requirements of mechanical accuracy (such as T.I.R., Taper, Balance, etc.)

Quality Control

Ever roller is extensively inspected for cell qualities, roller dimensions, and mechanical accuracy before shipment.

Applications

  • Flexo printing rolls for corrugated container, wide & narrow web color process printing, and special designs for doctor blade system.
  • Gravure coating & lamination rolls for all gravure application.

Regarding Flexo

FLEXOGRAPHY: YESTERDAY AND TODAY
One of the most important developments to substantially contribute
to flexo's growth was the LASER ENGRAVED CERAMIC ROLL

How to use Winner's Laser Engraved Ceramic Anilox Rolls

A two-roll system consists of a rubber roll running in a fountain or ink pan and the anilox roll running in between the rubber roll and printing plate. As press speed increases, ink buildup at the nip increased, it is not only going to be in the cells, but on the surface of the roll, and will result in a dirty plate and a halloing effect on the process dot. If the press is a little worn or ink viscosity changes, we can also get a so-called gear marking effect; or, in simple terms, an increase or decrease in surface ink on an anilox roll.

Two - Roll system

What do we do?

Chambered Doctor Blade System

We put a reverse-angle doctor blade holder and blade in the system. The blade holder should be rigid to prevent deflection and all components should be machined to close tolerances so that the blade will contact the surface of the anilox roll uniformly. The desirable condition is to keep the tip of the blade on the metering roll; simply shaving the excessive ink off as it floats on the surface.

Tools to consider

To maintain color and good tonal reproduction consistently requires a repeatable, predictable, controllable system. Following Tools are available tools to make this possible.

Doctor blades to meter ink consistently and evenly.

60o hexagonal laser engravings with thin, smooth walls that maximize blade life.
Thin cell walls that enhance uniformity of ink film.

Higher line screen current anilox rolls that improve print fidelity and minimize dot-gain.

Lower volume engravings with compatible ink systems that achieve color while reducing ink film thickness.

Thinner plate material used with appropriate density stickleback for stability.

Testing to determine the ideal combination of components

Other Rolls

Ceramic Coated Rolls

A variety of ceramic materials are sprayed onto the roller surface to meet the respective requirements such as: abrasive resistance, corrosion resistance, heat-transfer resistance, electrical conductivity resistance, and corona roller.

Rubber Rolls

We supply good quality rubber rolls with adequate material, hardness, crown and other specifications to meet your requirements.

Anilox Roll Cleaning & Maintenance Accessories

Clean Solution

Winner Brother Industrial Corp. - a company of the Winner Group, formulates a powerful cleaning solution. It can help you to clean very tough clogging dried ink and coating material from your anilox.

Stainless Steel Scrub Brush

The stainless steel scrub brush is a very effective cleaning tool for the operator to maintain the ceramic anilox rolls. Beware that this brush can not be applied on the chrome-plated anilox because the brush material is very hard and it will damage the chrome surface.

60X~100X and 30X Microscopes

Easy-carrying microscopes are very handy for inspecting your anilox rolls. It can also be used for inspecting and observing the printed products, printing plates, and other objects.

Flexo Inks

Products from Winner Brothers Industrial Corp.--- a company of the Winner Group

Water-based Flexo Inks: The inks display good quality for a variety of paper products such as corrugated box, shopping bags, tissue papers, paper cups, stationary, The Winner Brother Industrial Corp. also provides a series of water-based OPV products for different applications.

Alcohol-based Flexo Inks: The inks can be applied on pre-treated PP. OPP, HDPE, LDPE films and woven bags. The inks display good qualities to meet all the requirements such as strong & bright color, adhesion, anti-blocking, anti-scratch.
